A lot of people have written about this, but I feel I should jump in as well.  The Core Mechanic, an RPG Blog way better than this one could ever hope to be, has been hard at work self-publishing a book composed entirely of articles written by RPG bloggers.  Putting this book together has been a… [Read more…]

If you are planning on picking up Dungeon Delve, and using Dungeon Tiles with it, be warned, the book uses the “Halls of the Giant Kings” set in 7 of the 30 delves.  That set is currently out of print, and based on the prices it is fetching on Ebay it looks like it is… [Read more…]

I stumbled accross this webpage and thought it was worth pointing it out.  It’s called  YeOldMapMaker.com and that’s just it.  You’re given a blank grid to play with, and a small collection of symbols, including outdoor stuff as well as indoors.  You can then place the symbols unto the grid and make a battlemap.   I’m not… [Read more…]

The PHB2 table of contents was released by WOTC yesterday.  I haven’t read much about it, so I figured I’d post it here just in case.  Regardless, you can find it here. So after using my paper condition tokens, I switched over to Alea Tools because they are probably the best thing out there right now for the 4th ed. DM looking for a solution to the game’s bookkeeping.  I also use them for Ranger’s Quarry’s, Paladin’s Divine Challenges, etc… But last session I did something different with… [Read more…]
