As I prepare to relaunch the NewbieDM Minicast, this time focused on 5e, I am making the 14 original 4e episodes available as originally produced.
In this episode I was joined by game designer and Editor-In-Chief of Critical Hits, Dave “The Game” Chalker, and a listener called in asking how to encourage players to learn the rules of the game.

Is there a reason why you keep cross-listing your minicast to both your minicast and blog rss feeds?

I’m trying not too. I created a separate feed for the minicast that shouldn’t be hitting hte main feed. Weird. I wonder what I’m doing wrong….

The answer, it seems, is that the main site feed is a catch-all that throws everything up in there, regardless of the category.
This is a wordpress.com site, not .org, and my level of customization is limited. There’s a lot I ~can’t~ do on here.
My quickest solution, if cross posting becomes a problem for too many folks, is provide another feed through feedburner or something, with a specific category like say “Gaming” which would exclude everything but the podcast, for example.
If the podcast stuff bothers you a lot, I ask that you have a little bit of patience, I’m trying to upload the 14 older episodes, which is why you are getting a barrage of articles your way. Once I do that and start the 5e podcast, it’ll slow down considerably, and by then I may have the new feed set up in case you’d want to switch to that, which wouldn’t include the podcast.

If it is a PITA to fix, don’t worry about it. After this initial blast of old time podcasts, it won’t be much of an issue, unless you post a new podcasts every other hour.
