And we’re off…. 32 bloggers working on a shared campaign setting. This should be cool. The map is ready, the land grab has begun, and in a few months a living, breathing campaign world will be available from some of the best minds in the RPG Blogosphere.
Although I brought up the concept, I am by no means in charge of this or owner of this. In fact, once I proposed it, I’ve been rather hands off, letting things fall into place on their own. Michael over at madbrewlabs was kind enough to not only set up the page, but also created the fabulous map we are working off.
You can check it all out here.
There’s only one thing left to do, which is name the world. I think we should wait until after it’s done. I’m hoping by the time Gencon hits, we’ll be finished. It’s my first year attending, and I hope I have something cool to take with me and show off… like a nice looking PDF with high resolution maps maybe? We’ll see…
To all the bloggers involved in the project, good luck & have fun. Let’s show the RPG community what we can do!

When is Gen Con? I think that might be a tall order, but you’re right it would be cool.

August 14-17, 2009. I’m still not sure if I’ll make it, but I’m very much hoping.

I think a face-to-face with all the contributors at GenCon would be a worthy gathering. Of course, I don’t expect all 30+ participants to be at GenCon, but for those of us who are it could be a lot of fun; especially if this project is finished or nearly finished by August.

It would be cool to actually run a game in the setting!
I’ll be at gencon this year…
